At Nuit Blanche Winnipeg 2023, two sculptures were featured as part of the School of Art’s The Garden of Illuminated Tales, embodying themes of liberation and creativity.

The enchanting process of transformation is captured in the design of the lanterns presented. Narratives of human progression are woven through the interplay of light and shadow, with each translucent panel depicting the evolution of forms associated with the human body. Celebrating the joy of playful shapes, these lanterns delve into the concept of metamorphosis. Delicate cut-outs within the translucent materials invite a sense of unfolding transition, much like the metamorphosis of a butterfly. This collection, encapsulating the essence of transformation and the wonder of new existence, allows the light to cast stories of change, urging viewers to engage with the transformative power inherent in every form and fable.
